VASBI – Vascular Access Society of Britain and Ireland

Short Bio of the Society:

VASBI is the only multi-disciplinary vascular access society in the UK dedicated to improving the care and quality of life of haemodialysis patients. The society was established in 2010 by a small group of like-minded surgeons, nephrologists and interventional radiologists. Since then, the society has grown and attracted a wider scope of health professionals including dialysis and vascular access specialist nurses. Through an annual scientific meeting, with an international faculty, and other educational events, we aim to bring together dedicated professionals to exchange and impart knowledge and experience in the vascular access field. We have been actively involved with other societies in producing practice guidelines and research. Through these activities our aim is to help standardise, and continually improve evidence-based practice for the care of haemodialysis
